The Primary Bathroom

This is the house's sole bathroom (for now). It's quite large with 2 doors - 1 to the upstairs bedroom and the other to the back hallway that connects the kitchen to the stairs going down. The tub and sink are blue. The vanity countertop is blue-speckled white laminate. I think it needs some updating. But this bathroom won't be touched for a while. Its functional - the toilet and septic are up to par. We are getting a new tankless hot water heater, so this room will benefit from that. This will be the primary bathroom once the ensuite bathroom is built in the new master bedroom.

Well, I tried to extend our rental lease for August - but it's no dice. So, we have to be moved out (and in) by July 31st. Michael recently finished putting up all the drywall (walls and ceilings). We're waiting on an inspection from the city. It's scheduled for tomorrow.🤞 Michael installing drywall on the ceiling of Cypress's bedroom closet. New dishwasher. Check out those countertops! Welcome!

My husband and I are now the proud owners of a 1963-built, mid-century modern styled house in Greenville, South Carolina. The house is made from concrete blocks, many of which contain shaped surfaces painted pale pink. The car port has an entire wall of breeze blocks. I'm still learning the correct terminology and identification of many of these materials, architecture styles, and construction methods.  We have an ~$80K renovation financed/ scheduled for the major things: new roof, new windows, new heating/cooling system, and a new bathroom and closet added to the "den" to make it the new master bedroom.
