Waiting, waiting, waiting
The sub-contractors have slowed down drastically. The electric is not done. The roof hasn't started. The windows were ordered a while ago but haven't yet arrived. And the plumbing work hasn't started for the new bathroom. Good thing I got another draw check from the mortgage company for +$20K. That should reignite the General Contractor's motivation...
Meanwhile, Michael built a kitchen island.
He procured a new range and oven as well.
No countertop yet. Still pondering that decision.
And today, we utilized many of the recently cut down trees to build and prep a raised garden bed.
We did this in New York as well. It's more natural and less expensive, but the wood does rot and break down in a couple of years' time.
Cypress is learning to drive the tractor.
Jessie came to the property for the first time today. She sniffed around the inside of the house and around the property a lot. For now, she was tied up to a tree, which she did NOT like. We will put up fencing soon.
