MOVED... to Greenville!
It hasn't been pretty, but when does a move go smoothly? It's been an exhausting few days. We are 100% out of the rental thanks to Michael. Yesterday morning I pulled a muscle in my back while trying to assist moving the piano. Needless to say, I couldn't help after that, as I was unable to B.L.T. (which I learned today from my Physical Therapist stands for bend, lift, twist). I just have to keep telling myself to relax and not over-exert myself. The new house is a mess. It's very hard to find anything. I don't think we have enough storage (shelving, closets, etc.) to accommodate all our stuff.
I love the way the light looks shining through the breeze blocks.
This is the carport. Right now, it's an open-air car port holding lots of stuff. When Michael passes his South Carolina Contractors' licensing exam, he can get his own building permit and begin the renovation of closing this in (think - glass in each opening) and making it our future family/living room.

The cork floors of our bedroom
This is the kids' last full week of summer break. I am technically working (albeit not very well) and there is so much to do to get settled. Coral and I want to go see the Barbie movie this week. Cypress has a basketball game Thursday night. We're all supposed to go meet the teachers on Thursday as well. We decided to keep the kids at the same elementary school they went to last year (Gateway Elementary in Travelers Rest). They aren't eligible for bus transportation now that we've moved, so I registered them for the after-school program. 🏫
